WARRENVILLE POLICE INVESTIGATE ATTEMPTED CHILD ABDUCTION

WARRENVILLE, IL: September 28, 2008 -
The Warrenville Police Department is investigating a report of attempted child abduction. The incident occurred on September 28, 2008 at approximately 3:30 PM. A twelve-year old female was riding her bicycle on Branch Avenue near Continental Drive on the City’s west side. A male subject began following alongside her and offered her money if she agreed to enter his vehicle. She refused, prompting the suspect to yell at her as he continued to follow her onto Continental Drive. She turned into Continental Park and observed the suspect exit his vehicle and chase her on foot. She last observed the suspect in the area of Continental Park.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’10”, thin build, goatee, wearing a white t-shirt and black sunglasses. He was driving a car of unknown make, blue/green in color, rusty condition with mismatched wheels.
