Administrative Services

Administrative Services is responsible for the City's central financial functions including accounting, human resources, risk management, information technology, and geographic information systems.

Duties include providing technical support as well as participation in the formulation and execution of the City's financial policies. The Department also handles the administration of the Metra Commuter Parking Lot, Utility Billing and refuse/yard waste sticker sales.

Fiscal Year 2009 Budget
The 2009 Fiscal Year Budget for the City of West Chicago was presented to the Mayor and City Council, in accordance with Section 2-146 of the West Chicago City Code. The Annual Budget serves as a comprehensive financial plan and strategic guide for our organization. It includes a forecast of anticipated revenues for the coming fiscal year, as well as adopted expenditures that will guide the services provided to our customers, the 25,700 residents and 800+ businesses that call West Chicago their home.

Audit Report for Fiscal Year 2009
The City has completed its audit for the period of January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. The application to receive the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award from the Government Finance Association shall be submitted.

The City has once again received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for the Fiscal Period of May 1 - December 31, 2008.

Amusement Tax Monthly Return Form
The City's Amusement Tax is administered and processed by the Administrative Services Department.  Effective July 20, 2009, an Ordinance was passed charging a 2 percent tax, to be collected monthly, on all amusements that include golf, bowling, movies and rentals of movie videos and video games.
