The Support Services Division consists of the Investigations Section, School Resource Officers, Crime Analysis, Evidence/Property, Vehicle and Building Maintenance, Records, and Social Services.
- The Investigations Section is responsible for follow up investigations of a large variety of criminal activities including robberies, burglaries, thefts, sexual assaults, white collar and high tech crimes, missing persons and equivocal death investigations.
- The primary goal of the School Resource Officers is to provide a safe learning environment for the school children in our community by working closely with the administrators, teachers and school staff.
- The Records Section* is responsible for the accurate recording and presentation of data submitted by department personnel. The Section provides customer service to the citizens and agencies requiring reports for documentation.
- The Social Services Unit is responsible for the effective delivery and facilitation of bilingual social services to victims of crime and their families.

*The West Chicago Police Department Records Section is staffed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you call the police department after 7 pm or on weekends and holidays your call will automatically be transferred to our dispatch center. The phone will ring two to three times; then it will sound like you were disconnected. Don’t hang up it is actually starting the transfer. If you wait a few seconds it will begin to ring again and dispatch will answer the phone.
