Remembering 9/11

September 10, 2018 By General Content

I Love My Country statue in West Chicago IL

Location:
Reed-Keppler Park
250 West National Street

I Love My Country, part of the Randolph Rose Collection, is a detailed bronze statue of children holding the American flag. It measures 39” x 60” x 81”H. The beautiful bronze patina sets off the red, white and blue of the American Flag for an inspiring and patriotic tribute to our military and our country.

The sculpture was dedicated by the West Chicago Park District at Remembering 9/11: A West Chicago Observance on September 11, 2011 on the 10th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America - a day that changed America and the world forever.

The sculpture is set in a memorial/meditation garden surrounded by soaring oak trees at Reed-Keppler Park. It provides a quiet place for reflection of our gratitude to the fallen heroes on that fateful day, as well as to our daily heroes who risk their lives every day to protect us and our nation, including our armed forces, police officers, and fire protection personnel.
