Members of the West Chicago Community High School National Honor Society worked with seven downtown businesses or organizations to add holiday cheer to storefront windows in time for Frosty Fest, which is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2019, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in downtown West Chicago.

Among the participating businesses/organizations are Rite Way Auto, 101 East Washington Street; Republic Bank, 101 Main Street; Primerica, 102 Main Street; Iris Salon, 117 Main Street; Healthy West Chicago, 129 Main Street; the City Museum, 132 Main Street; and Ferny’s, 136 Main Street.
The idea for the activity came from volunteers of the Frosty Fest Committee as a way to build community connections and add the new element of decorated storefront windows for Frosty Fest-goers who will be strolling Main Street to attend the many activities taking place at various locations.
Decorations were supplied by each business/organization and students worked as teams to come up with a plan and execute a design.
Committee members are delighted to add another new element to Frosty Fest, especially one that engages students and downtown business owners.
A complete schedule of Frosty Fest activities is now available.
