The City of West Chicago is proud to announce the winners of the 2010 Brilliance in Business Awards. Natural Healing Whole Dog Wellness, Buck Services, Inc., the Jel Sert Company, Casa Rios Bridal Boutique, Ball Horticultural Company and We Grow Dreams will be honored at the City Council meeting of Monday, November 15, 2010.
The recognition program was established by the City last year in order to connect with its business community and bring well-deserved attention and awareness to it. This year’s six brilliant businesses will be honored for achievements that exemplify the spirit of 21st century business front-runners, including innovation, commitment, environmental stewardship, community service, global renown and outstanding vision.
Their unique stories will be captured on a commemorative video that the City is producing for the public award ceremony in November, and which will be uploaded to the City’s website following the presentation.
“The stories behind these six businesses illustrate a level of corporate citizenship worthy of recognition,” said Mayor Mike Kwasman. “We are proud they are part of our business community.”
- Small Business of the Year Award
Natural Healing Whole Dog Wellness has been a welcome addition to West Chicago’s business community and has elevated the level of the City’s reputation as a compelling destination. Offering the first pools in the Midwest specifically designed for the therapeutic treatment of dogs, plus a store devoted to products designed for whole dog wellness, this business has set a new bar for entrepreneurial innovation and quality, and has developed an industry niche with a wide regional reach. 946 N. Neltnor Blvd. (Rt. 59); (630) 483-9843
- Economic Development Award
Buck Services, Inc. has demonstrated commitment as well as a significant investment in West Chicago.
