The City of West Chicago’s Public Works Department oversees the development and execution of the City’s Capital Improvement Projects and Programs. Projects and programs include important initiatives such as road construction, building renovations, and utility upgrades with the prioritization of projects being based on current resource projections and community needs.

Project Scope
Resurfacing approximately 3.23 miles of various city streets. Primary work includes:
- Pavement milling
- Hot-mix asphalt (HMA) resurfacing and pavement patching
- Intermittent concrete sidewalk installation, including ADA curb ramps
- Intermittent concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement
- Storm and sanitary sewer repairs
- Storm and sanitary structure replacement and adjustments
- Parkway restoration
- New pavement markings
