2023 Roadway Rehabilitation Project

Project Scope
The 2023 Roadway Rehabilitation Project includes resurfacing approximately 2.73 miles of various streets. The Project’s scope generally consists of the following:
- pavement milling;
- hot-mix asphalt (HMA) resurfacing;
- full-depth HMA pavement patching;
- intermittent concrete sidewalk, including, ADA curb ramps, intermittent combination concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement;
- storm and sanitary sewer repairs, including storm and sanitary structure replacement and adjustments;
- parkway restoration; and
- thermoplastic pavement markings.

Sanitary Lift Station #5 Replacement Project

Project Scope
The City’s Sanitary Lift Station #5, located at 344 S. Neltnor Boulevard, collects sanitary sewage from an area bounded by Wilson Avenue (west), Washington Street (north), Prince Crossing Road (east), and Blair Street (south), and pumps said sewage to the gravity sanitary sewer system on Main Street.
The lift station was constructed in 1968 and requires replacement. In addition, the sanitary sewer forcemain connecting to the lift station is also in poor condition and requires replacement.
The Project’s scope includes approximately 1,000 lineal feet of new sanitary forcemain replacement, new wet well, pumps, electrical upgrades, mechanical upgrades, on-site generator, and a new building to house all the lift station equipment.

Geographical Information System (GIS) Parkway Tree Inventory

The project’s proposed improvements include, but are not limited to, the following:

- intermittent concrete sidewalk and combination concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement;
- ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps;
- sanitary and storm sewer repairs;
- manhole structure repair and adjustments;
- new water main and residential water service lines replacement (both along Bishop Street from the Dale Avenue easement to Forest Avenue);
- new street lights along Augusta Avenue and Bishop Street; and
- thermoplastic pavement markings.

2023 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project

Project Scope
The Project consists of the rehabilitation of the City's sanitary collection system using trenchless technologies to address structural defects and infiltration issues in some of the City's oldest sanitary sewers that are made of a vitrified clay pipe.
Improvements include lining approximately 4,500 lineal feet of 8" sanitary sewer.

The general area between Illinois Route 59 and Gates Street, and between Dayton Avenue and Forest Avenue.

2023 Sidewalks and Curb Maintenance Program

Project Scope
The Program will consist of intermittent removal and replacement of approximately 3, 700 square feet of sidewalk and 200 linear feet of curb and gutter at various locations throughout the City.
Additional proposed improvements include the following:
- construction of aggregate base course for ground stabilization;
- inlet adjustments;
- detectable warning installation;
- tree root pruning; and
- restoration items, including hot-mix-asphalt and concrete driveway replacements, pavement patching, and sodding.

- hot-mix asphalt (HMA) resurfacing;
- full-depth HMA pavement patching;
- intermittent concrete sidewalk, including, ADA curb ramps;
- intermittent combination concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement;
- storm and sanitary sewer repairs , including storm and sanitary structure replacement and adjustments;
- parkway restoration; and
