Thank you to all who participated in the annual Halloween Festivities and to all businesses which generously provided treats.
Downtown West Chicago was the gathering spot for all varieties of superheros, monsters, furry creatures and more this past weekend when Main Street and W. Washington merchants and service businesses opened their doors and offered Halloween treats.
Also, the West Chicago Public Library’s parking lot offered businesses outside of the downtown a chance to distribute treats through a well-attended Trunk or Treat event.
The weather remained mild and rain held off until after the event, which contributed to a record number of attendees. 120 people registered for the costume contest but many more showed support by dressing up. More than 800 trick or treaters enjoyed the festivities.
