2023 Sidewalk & Curb Maintenance Program Begins Oct. 9

September 22, 2023 By City of West Chicago

Sidewalk

The City of West Chicago’s 2023 Sidewalk and Curb Maintenance Program is anticipated to begin on Monday, October 9, and is anticipated to be completed by November 2023, weather dependent. The work will be performed by Schroeder & Schroeder, Inc.

All construction activities are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. each day. Traffic flow may be restricted temporarily during the construction operations; however, all streets will be open to traffic and accessible at the end of each working day.

If driveway access is being impacted along any of the properties, affected occupants will be properly notified in advance. In addition, those affected property owners may be forced to park on the street overnight for 5-7 days if access to their driveway is limited due to curb and gutter or sidewalk removal and to account for concrete cure time after concrete is placed.

Residents can view a map of the areas scheduled for improvements on the City’s website.
