Back to school season is commonly associated with summer days being over, but many people are still left wanting a little more fun under the sun.

The West Chicago Park District has two new reasons to extend the summer season. Rhythm and Brews is a brand-new event with a focus on a relaxed afternoon for adults to enjoy live music, beer, food and a bags tournament.
In response to the community’s request for events focused around adults, the District is proud to partner with the City of West Chicago and Republic Bank to offer a one of a kind experience at the Shell in Reed-Keppler Park. Rhythm and Brews will feature musical performances by Decaf, 4th Point and feature presentation of regional favorite Voyage. Brews and BBQ will be provided by Hawthorne’s Backyard and Taqueria Santa Barbara’s food truck.
Providing families with affordable and engaging activities remains one of the District’s priorities. Fall season hasn’t begun and kids aren’t ready to say goodbye to summer yet; that’s why Turtle Splash Water Park has extended its pool season to include weekends until the end of September. This unprecedented extension is the only one of its kind in the area, to learn more and take advantage of the extended dates visit we-goparks.org.
