The City of West Chicago Police Department is seeking to hire a full-time Community Service Officer (CSO). The CSO is a civilian, uniformed position that works under the general direction of the Shift Supervisor and provides community service to citizens for, generally, non-emergency situations.
Additionally, this role is responsible for assisting officers with parking related issues and other non-criminal related offenses. The majority of the work is performed outdoors throughout the City. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working with people and using their independent, problem-solving abilities to make a difference in the community.
Minimum qualifications; 18 years of age; U.S. Citizen; high school graduate or equivalent; successful completion of background investigation, which includes a polygraph test and psychological evaluation.
