A protest has been planned to take place along Roosevelt Road in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn today (June 6, 2020) from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. The West Chicago Police Department has now learned that this protest may stretch further west and come into our town. Officers will be monitoring the area to make sure that peace and order are maintained, as well as keep the participants and our motoring public safe.
We ask anyone travelling along Roosevelt Road today to stay alert and aware as there may be more pedestrian traffic than usual.
We will continue to notify our residents of potential protests so that everyone is aware of what is happening in our fine city. Remember, when we work together, we can accomplish so much and together we will get through this.
Be safe and stay strong West Chicago!
