On Tuesday 1/15/19, at approximately 1330, The West Chicago Fire Protection District responded to a report of a house on fire in the 300
Firefighters arrived on scene within minutes of the initial alarm and found smoke coming from the rear of the home. Firefighters quickly made an attack on the fire which was on the outside rear of the home, while simultaneously searching to make sure all occupants had safely evacuated. The fire was quickly extinguished and was contained to the exterior, rear of the home. No damage estimates were immediately available at the time of this release. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
West Chicago firefighters were assisted at the scene by firefighters from Winfield, Wheaton, Geneva, and Carol Stream, along with the West Chicago Police Department, and City Building Department, and public works department.
