
Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Illinois

West Chicago Police Department Chief Michael Uplegger and officers are set to take the Plunge on behalf of the Law Enforcement Torch run for Special Olympics Illinois!
The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois is this weekend.
The West Chicago Police Department will be represented by a team of plungers at the Yorkville Polar Plunge at Silver Springs State Park at 1:00 p.m. March 4, 2018.
The Polar Plunge is the first of many events across the State as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraising campaign to benefit Special Olympics Illinois this year. The West Chicago Police Department raised $16,497.24 for the campaign in 2017. For this year’s Polar Plunge, the team has set a goal to raise $2,500 and has set an annual goal to raise over $20,000 for Special Olympics Illinois for 2018.
