Listen to NOAA Weather Radio for the latest weather forecasts. The National Weather Service broadcasts weather information, including watches, warnings and advisories 24 hours a day. AMATEUR RADIO

KC9JBW 440mhz Repeater

On May31st 2007, West Chicago E.S.D.A.went live for the first time with our new amateur radio repeater. The repeater operates on the 70cm (440mhz) ham radio band. The output frequency is 441.8500 and the input is 446.8500 with a pl of 114.8. The pair of frequencies are coordinated through the Illinois Repeater Association. The location of the repeater is on 128 W McConnell St. The Motorola GR1225 repeater was added to assist the agency during events and was installed by members of the West Chicago E.S.D.A.

Here are the technical specs of the repeater:

Motorola GR1225 45 watt

60 foot tower with an estimated height of 745 feet above sea level.

Comtelco BS450XL6 which is a 98″ antenna with 6DB of gain.
