The City of West Chicago’s Historical Preservation Commission is looking to fill two vacancies. If you're passionate about preserving the unique character of our community, this is your chance to get involved.
The Commission plays a vital role in safeguarding the city’s historic charm by promoting preservation, restoration, and thoughtful rehabilitation of buildings and streetscapes. It reviews permit applications for exterior construction and renovations of landmarks and properties within the city’s two historic districts, and holds public hearings for local landmark designations.
The Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at West Chicago City Hall. Join us in helping shape the future of West Chicago while honoring its past.
