Beginning Tuesday, June 10, 2025, the main entrance to the West Chicago Police Station located at 325 Spencer Street will be closed for construction for a minimum of two weeks.
During Construction:
Visitors will use an alternate entrance to the left (north) of the main door.
-
During normal business hours (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and extended hours on Wednesdays until 6 p.m.):
Press the outside call button at the north entrance. Visitors will be buzzed in and may wait in the lobby for assistance from the Records Division staff. -
After hours:
Enter through the same north entrance and use the phone inside the lobby to contact the dispatch center. An officer will respond to assist you.
Accessible Access:
-
Accessible parking is limited but remains available in front of the building during construction.
-
Visitors requiring an accessible entrance, however, will need to dial 9-1-1 for assistance, as accommodations have been made at the rear of the building during the construction period.
This project includes replacing the existing concrete sidewalk, ramp, and stairs, along with the front doors and railings to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and improve access to the station.
