West Chicago Community High School/City of West Chicago: Parking Permit Applications

About On-Street Parking Permits Near the West Chicago Community High School

Parking on certain streets surrounding the West Chicago Community High School is restricted from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on school days, except for holders of permits for residential parking. Residential parking permits are duly issued by the City of West Chicago's Police Department to residents for the affected streets (Article XVII, Division 7, Sec. 17-196 (k)).

Please see below for a series of map and list of which streets require parking permits.

How to Apply for Permit

Permits can be applied for online using the application below, the following items will be needed as part of the application process. Permits can also be applied for by the City of West Chicago Police Department, 325 Spencer Street, during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Proof of address indicating you reside on one of the streets affected (i.e.; electric bill, water bill, etc.)
  • Title or registration showing you are the owner of the vehicle and the vehicle is registered in the affected areas
  • Personal Identification (driver’s license, Illinois I.D. card, passport)
  • Copy of a current/valid insurance card for each vehicle
  • Vehicle Information (i.e.; Make, model, year, license number)
  • Parking Permit Area (See below for more information about Parking Permit Areas)

How to Pick-Up Permit

After you have submitted your information for a parking permit, you will be contacted by a staff member of the City of West Chicago Police Department who will inform you that you have been approved, or if more information is needed.

Upon approval, your permit will be available for pickup at the Police Department, 325 Spencer Street, during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

PARKING PERMIT AREAS

Parking permits are provided to residents who live on certain streets surrounding the West Chicago Community High School that are frequently used during school days. These streets have been divided into three separate parking permit areas surrounding the High School.

  • Permit Area A: Streets south of W. Washington Street and north of Ann Street from Sherman Street to Wood Street.
  • Permit Area B: Streets south of Ann Street and north of Hazel Street from Sherman Street to Joliet Street
  • Permit Area C: Streets south of Geneva Street and north of Hazel Street from Joliet Street to Blakey Street and Wilson Avenue.

PARKING PERMIT AREA A

Parking Permit Area A includes streets south of W. Washington Street and north of Ann Street from Sherman Street to Wood Street.

  1. Church Street, the north side from Sherman Street to Wood Street.
  2. Clara Street, the east side from the Burlington Northern tracks to Church Street.
  3. George Street, the north side from Sherman Street to Wood Street.
  4. Sherman Street, the west side from the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks to Church Street.
  5. Sherman Street, the east side from Church Street to a point one hundred (100) feet north of the north right-of-way line of George Street.
  6. Sherman Street, the east side from George Street to Ann Street.
  7. Vine Street, the east side from Church Street to George Street.

Parking Permit Area B includes streets south of Ann Street and north of Hazel Street from Sherman Street to Joliet Street

  1. Ann Street,the south side from Sherman Street to fifty (50) feet west of the E.J. & E. Railroad track.
  2. Blair Street,the north side from E.J. & E. tracks to Sherman Street.
  3. Blair Street,the south side from Joliet Street to Factory Street.
  4. Brown Street,the south side from Joliet Street to Factory Street.
  5. Factory Street,east side, between Ann Street and Brown Street.
  6. Pomeroy Street,the south side from Joliet Street to Factory Street.
  7. Sherman Street,the east side from Ann Street to Stimmel Street.
  8. Stimmel Street,the north side from the E.J. & E. tracks to Sherman Street.
  9. Stimmel Street,the south side from Joliet Street to Factory Street.
  10. Weyrauch Street,the east side from Ann Street to Brown Street.
  11. Wood Street,the east side from Ann Street to Brown Street.

Parking Permit Area C includes streets south of Geneva Street and north of Hazel Street from Joliet Street to Blakey Street and Wilson Avenue.

  1. Allen Avenue,the east side from Geneva Street to dead end south of Spencer Street.
  2. Barber Street,the east side from Spencer Street to Brown Street.
  3. Blair Street,the north side from Joliet Street to Blakely Street.
  4. Blakely Street,the east side from Conde Street to Brown Street.
  5. Brown Street,the north side from Joliet Street to Blakely Street.
  6. Joliet Street,the west side from Conde Street to Stimmel Street.
  7. Parker Avenue,the east side from Geneva Street to Spencer Street.
  8. Pomeroy Street,the north side from Joliet Street to Blakely Street.
  9. Stimmel Street,the north side from Joliet Street to Blakely Street.
